Service to God
"The life, death, resurrection and promised
coming of Jesus Christ has set
the pattern for the church's mission. His
life as man involves the church in the common life of men.
His service to
men commits the church to work for every form of human well-being...
So to live
and serve is to confess Christ
as Lord"
Highland Mission Statement
In joyful response to God's grace, we seek to
proclaim
the Gospel in a traditional way, promote Christian growth and provide service,
so that all
may experience the love of Jesus Christ. We'd like to invite you to worship with us on
Sunday mornings. We are a growing congregation seeking to serve our community.
We enjoy a traditional service with congregational participation
in hymns,
prayers, litanies and readings. As an added plus,
we
have a wonderful
choir and a
terrific organist. We also believe we are
the friendliest
church
in town - no stranger will remain a stranger long! Following our
worship we
enjoy fellowship with refreshments.
COME JOIN US! We know that you will truly
enjoy the experience.
Morning Worship each Sunday at 10:00 AM
We claim to be the "Friendliest Church in Town"
The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated
frequently during the
year as part
of the
morning worship; homebound communion
is served to shut-ins. Special worship
services include Christmas Eve,
Easter Sunrise, Maundy Thursday and the second
Sunday in November we
celebrate Kirkin
o' the Tartan which includes pipes, drums and
a parade of the Tartans.
